Bishop Creek

Description: A highly regarded fishery with stocked rainbow and Alpers trout. It's location near lakes North, South & Sabrina make it particularly attractive.

Camping: Big Trees Campground: 9 sites for tents or RV's to 30 feet set at 7,500 feet. Picnic tables, fire grills, drinking water and flush toilets. Reservations not accepted. Open late April thru October, weather permitting. The campground is about 11 miles down Hwy. 168 from Bishop. North Lake Campground: 11 sites for tents only set at 9,500 feet. Picnic tables, fire grills, drinking water and pit toilets. Reservations not accepted. Open Early June thru mid-September, weather permitting. From Bishop take Hwy. 168 west for about 17 miles to Forest Road 8S02 marked North Lake and drive about 2 miles to the campground. Willow Campground: 10 sites for tents or RV's to 25 feet set at 9,000 feet. Picnic tables, fire rings, food lockers and pit toilets. No drinking water. Reservations not accepted. Open late May thru late September, weather permitting. From Bishop drive west on Hwy. 168 13 miles to South Lake Road, turn left and drive about 5.5 miles to the campground. Mountain Glen Campground: 5 sites for tents or RV's to 28 feet set at 8,200 feet. Picnic tables, fire rings, food lockers & pit toilets. No drinking water. Reservations not accepted. Open late May thru late September. From Bishop take Hwy. 168 13 miles to South Lake Road. Turn left and drive about 3 miles to the campground.

Directions: From Hwy. 395 at Bishop turn west on Hwy. 168 to Bishop Creek Road and access the river as desired.
