Lee Vining Creek- near Lee Vining

Description: A nice site between Tioga Pass and Lee Vining just outside Yosemite National Park. Camp at Lower Lee Vining Camp or nearby Cattleguard, Moraine, Big Bend or Aspen camps. Stocked with browns and rainbows weekly May thru October. Nearby lakes also offer fishing for stocked trout; see our write-ups on Saddlebag, Ellery and Tioga lakes.

Location: From Hwy. 395 at Lee Vining turn west on Hwy. 120/Tioga Pass Road toward Yosemite National Park. For Lower Lee Vining and Cattleguard campgrounds you will see the entrances off Hwy. 120. For Moraine, Big Bend and Aspen drive about 3.5 miles to Poole Power Plant Road and watch for campground signs.

Camping: Moraine Camp: 20 sites for tents or RV's to 40 feet. Picnic tables, fire rings and pit toilets. No drinking water. Reservations not accepted. Open May thru October, weather permitting. Big Bend Campground: 17 sites for tents or RV's to 30 feet. Picnic tables, fire grills, food lockers, drinking water and pit toilets. Reservations not accepted. Open late April thru October, weather permitting. Aspen Campground: 56 sites for tents or RV's to 40 feet. Picnic tables, fire grills, food lockers, drinking water and pit toilets. Reservations not accepted. Open May thru October, weather permitting. Cattleguard Camp: 15 sites for tents or RV's to 40 feet. Picnic tables, fire grills, food lockers, and pit toilets. No drinking water. Reservations not accepted. Open May thru October, weather permitting. Lower Lee Vining Camp: 54 sites for tents or RV's to 40 feet. Picnic tables, fire grills, food lockers, and pit toilets. No drinking water. Reservations not accepted. Open May thru October, weather permitting. Elevations range from 7,500 to 7,800 feet.
