McGee Creek- near Mammoth Lakes & Bishop

Description: A tributary of nearby Crowley Lake. Rainbows planted weekly spring thru fall by DFG. Often used as a back-up to fishing the lake. The John Muir Wilderness is nearby. Horse rentals nearby.

Location: From Hwy. 395 at Mammoth Junction continue south for 10 miles and turn right onto McGee Creek Road to the creek.

Camping: McGee Creek Campground: 28 sites for tents or RV's to 25 feet. Picnic tables, fire grills, drinking water, pit toilets and shade structures. There is no natural shade. Some sites with wheelchair access. Reservations accepted at 877-444-6777 or www.recreation.gov. Open mid-May thru mid-October, weather permitting.
