West Walker River

Description: Fishing for planted rainbow trout and maybe some German Browns near Bridgeport off Hwys. 108 and 395. Access can be from either Hwy. The river stretches for about 28 miles from the U.S. Marine base on Hwy. 108 down to Topaz Lake on Hwy. 395. Nearby is the stocked Little Walker River that joins this one just north of the Hwy. 395/ 108 junction.

Camping: Bootleg, Chris Flat, Sonora Bridge and Leavett Meadows campgrounds are all on the river. Click this link and scroll down to the campground description.

Directions: Drive north from Bridgeport on Hwy. 395 to the junction with Hwy. 108. Access can be from either road.
