Red Bluff Recreation Area

Camp Discovery Sycamore Grove

Located east of Red Bluff at 300 feet elevation in the Sacramento Valley, these camps serve folks accessing the Upper Sacramento River for boating, fishing or other recreational activities. Camp Discovery is a single group site. Sycamore Grove offers 30 campsites for tents or RV's with picnic tables, restrooms and electrical hook-ups.

Upper Lake Recreation Area

Bear Creek

Set at 2,000 feet, this remote site offers 16 sites for tents or RV's to 22 feet. No hookups. Picnic tables, fire grills and vault toilets. No potable water. Sitting beside Bear Creek it offers trout fishing and camping and access to OHV trails. To get there from Upper Lake take Mendenhall Ave. for 1 mile, where it becomes Forest Road M1- Elk Mountain Road. Turn left and drive 16 miles to the intersection of Forest Road M10. Turn left (east) and drive 8 miles to the entrance road and then 1/2 mile to the campsite. Alert! 5 miles into the FR M10 drive you must cross the Rice Fork of the Eel River. Yolla Bolly- Middle Eel Wilderness

Green Springs Rock Cabin Trailhead

Green Springs is a trailhead campsite with 6 primitive sites for tents or small RV's with picnic tables, fire rings & vault toilets. It serves backpackers and equestrians looking to enter the Yolla Bolly- Middle Eel Wilderness. There are corrals but no drinking water. Rock Cabin Trailhead Campground is a remote dispersed site serving hikers entering the wilderness.

Stonyford Recreation Area
